About Mosaic

Mosaic began as a coursework project with a simple question: what does an image-sharing site look like when nothing about it is optimised for advertising?

What it is

A public image host with a chronological, filterable feed. No engagement ranking, no promoted pins, no infinite recommendation loop -- you see what people actually posted, newest first, and you filter it yourself.

How it is built

Nuxt renders the site on the server for fast first paint and real SEO. Supabase provides Postgres, authentication and object storage. Every authorisation rule lives in the database as a Row Level Security policy, so the rules hold even if a bug in the interface would have let something through.

Who runs it

A small team of administrators handles moderation reports and keeps the category list tidy. Anyone can report a pin; every report is reviewed by a person.
